After the big Override patch last week, Epic Games has rolled out an unannounced patch for Fortnite today, August 26. As one might expect, this applies fixes more than anything else.
Console gamers will see this download as Fortnite update 5.18/1.000.229, and this should be a small download.
Read on for some of the issues the developers are taking on across all platforms,
Fortnite’s New Update on August 26 Brings Fixes Rather than New Content
For now, Epic Games has revealed the changelog for today’s patch. However, we do know the issues the dev team is looking into, which is something the developers have shared since the Override content drop was released.
Bear in mind, not everything in the list below is confirmed to be fixed, but if you’ve experienced an issue in the game and if it’s in the list, the devs are aware of it, and chances are, a good chunk of the bugs have been squashed.

The Join Crew button is unresponsive on the Passes screen.

Temporary Workaround: You can still subscribe through the Battle Pass purchase screen.

The Crew Styles page may appear empty or display content from a previously viewed Pass screen.

When selecting Locker sort options, your cursor may jump to the top of the screen instead of staying on the currently selected item.

All Vehicles are currently incorrectly labeled with the Reload tag in the Locker, despite being unavailable in Reload.

A Cheat Code near the ice cubes east of The Battlewoods may appear under the ground, hiding the inputs.

Sliding into or falling onto boost pads at Green Hill Zone, or canceling boost when stepping on one may cause a jittery movement animation.

Temporary workaround: Placing builds, jumping repeatedly or aiming down sights should unblock you.

Players rebooted by a teammate using Sonic Power Sneakers may respawn with their camera incorrectly zoomed in or out.

When spectating a player using Sonic Power Sneakers’ Spin Attack, the camera may not follow and center on their character consistently.

Opening the inventory or map while charging the Sonic Power Sneakers’ Spin Dash may leave your character stuck in place.

Players may have issues hopping off grind rails at Green Hill Zone.

[Photosensitivity Risk] Tails Sprite can leave a persistent pulsing effect on your back for the rest of the match, flashing more intensely while aiming down sights.

Players sensitive to flashing visuals should consider avoiding the Tails Sprite until this is fixed.

Players may get stuck on the Lobby screen if they haven’t yet chosen their first Sprite.

Temporary Workaround: Choose the first Sprite on each account separately before joining in split screen.

Opening the map, inventory or other in-game menus may shift the other player’s camera angle and slow their camera turn speed.

The Play With Others menu buttons may gray out after declining to enter a Mission solo at the Homebase console.

Temporary Workaround: Reopen the menu.

The Play With Others menu may send you to a Mission above your chosen Power Level when no lobbies are found.

Players can’t see each other’s Game Chat messages during Missions. Party Chat is unaffected.

We’re investigating inconsistent weapon damage output, particularly during Mythic Storm King fights.

[Xbox One] Directional Jump Pads won’t activate when Phase Shifting onto them.

The Hero Commander Buckle+ Perk currently provides reduced effective damage as weapon level increases.

[Pro Lead / Pro Bass] The green fret on guitar peripherals can stop responding during Local Multiplayer.

The Auto-Emote setting may not always apply correctly.

The cursor snaps to the center of the screen when switching tabs in the Leaderboards.

[Main Stage] Auto-emote setting may not always apply properly.
-
[Main Stage – Pro Lead/Pro Bass] The green fret on the guitar peripherals can stop responding during Local Multiplayer.

[Main Stage – Pro Drums] Smashing two cymbal gems at the same time can break the streak.

[Main Stage – Pro Drums] Scoring discrepancies when the player is using Lefty Flip.

[Pro Drums] – We’re aware of the new thick lane divider visual bug.
