    PVR INOX has informed exchanges that its Board of Directors will meet on August 31, 2026, to consider and approve a proposal for buyback of equity shares. The stock touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,284.50.

    On Tuesday, Indian equity benchmark indices traded lower, with the benchmark Nifty 50 index falling 48.95 points (0.20 per cent) to 24,170.10. Amid market movement, PVR INOX’s share price rose 0.05 per cent to Rs 1,232.40 after the company announced that its Board of Directors will consider a proposal to buy back equity shares at its upcoming meeting. The stock also touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,284.50 during the session.

    PVR INOX Board to Consider Share Buyback

    PVR INOX has announced that its Board of Directors is scheduled to meet on Monday, August 31, 2026, to consider and approve a proposal to buy back the company’s equity shares.

    The proposed buyback will relate to the company’s equity shares having a face value of Rs 10 each. The Board will also consider matters incidental and ancillary to the proposed buyback.

    The company has made the disclosure pursuant to Regulation 29(1)(b) of the SEBI Listing Regulations. The outcome of the Board meeting will be communicated to the stock exchanges after the conclusion of the meeting on August 31, 2026.

    Buyback Details Yet to Be Announced

    At this stage, PVR INOX has not disclosed the size of the proposed buyback, the buyback price, or the number of equity shares proposed to be bought back. These details will depend on the Board’s decision at the August 31 meeting.

    Therefore, the latest announcement is currently a proposal for consideration and approval by the Board, rather than a completed buyback programme.

    In accordance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015 and the company’s internal code of conduct, the trading window for dealing in PVR INOX securities has been closed for designated persons and their immediate relatives.

    The trading window will remain closed from August 25, 2026 to September 2, 2026, both days inclusive.

    PVR INOX shares touched a fresh 52-week high of Rs 1,284.50 on August 25, 2026. The stock’s 52-week low stands at Rs 907.40, recorded on March 30, 2026.

    From the 52-week low of Rs 907.40 to the fresh high of Rs 1,284.50, the stock has gained approximately 41.56 per cent.

    PVR INOX Limited is a major multiplex and cinema exhibition company formed through the merger of PVR and INOX Leisure. The company operates cinema exhibition businesses under the PVR and INOX brands, along with associated entertainment and food and beverage offerings.
