A pre-release event for Yash’s Toxic took an unexpected turn in Hyderabad as a mishap was reported, leaving two students injured. The event was organised at Malla Reddy University and witnessed a massive number of students and fans gathering to catch a glimpse of the cast. Amid the excitement of fans, an unfortunate accident took place, leaving two injured. Yash had earlier said thefilm is for the Gen Z.
Students injured during Toxic pre-release event
The incident reportedly took place when Yash was on stage addressing the audience. In videos surfacing online, students were seen climbing on top of a large sound box or floodlight structure, which collapsed toward students standing close to the stage area. According to a Gulte report, two youngsters suffered injuries. One female reportedly lost consciousness due to the impact. The injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
Yash, who was on stage, also noticed the disturbance and reportedly paused to check if the students were safe. After being informed that there was no major issue, the actor, who is known for his bond with his fans, continued his speech.
Nevertheless, the accident has raised concerns about large gatherings at movie events. The incident has again brought to light the importance of crowd control and safety arrangements at large-scale film events. While thousands of students gathered at Malla Reddy University to catch a glimpse of Yash, the overcrowding at the event led to the mishap. The incident has also raised concerns about students reportedly moving close to the stage and climbing onto structures used to carry speakers and other event equipment.
Reportedly, the police had asked students to move back ahead of the event to avoid overcrowding and the possibility of a stampede. While some obeyed the instructions, many others paid no heed and remained near the stage.

Toxic marks Yash’s return to the screens after KGF: Chapter 2 in 2022. Along with Yash, the film also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria in key roles.
The film is helmed by Geetu Mohandas and has been produced by Yash and KVN Productions. The gangster action drama was certified ‘A’ by the CBFC recently ahead of its scheduled theatrical release on August 26.
