Through VR technology, visitors will come back to Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi on September 2, 1945, and join the crowds to listen to President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence.
Duong Thi Kim Hoan, a resident of Dong Hung Thuan 2 Ward, HCM City, came here with her daughter. “I had watched the historical event on television on national holidays. Today, I can see the scene and hear President Ho Chi Minh’s voice. I wasn’t born at that time. This experience really brings me back to that sacred moment in history. I’m very happy and moved.”
Like many other young people, Nguyen Trung Hau queued from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. to experience “Returning to the Sacred Moment”. “It was well worth my time. I felt deeply moved, excited and emotional. The scene was majestic and spectacular. I got goosebumps when I saw the sea of people and witnessed President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence.”
According to the organizer, the exhibition welcomed nearly 2,000 visitors on the opening day on Wednesday and around 3,000 visitors on Thursday.
The programme “Return to the Sacred Moment” is jointly organized by VTC News of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV), and the Institute of Information and Communications Technology (CDIT) under the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology.
It opens from August 19-21 at the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
