American actress and singer Hayden Panettiere, who began working in the entertainment industry at the age of one, has tragically passed away.
The actress who was born on August 21, 1989, in Palisades, New York, appeared in her first commercial at just 11 months. She then went on to become one of Hollywood’s recognisable young stars.
She gained international recognition with NBC’s Heroes, which premiered in 2006.
Her tragic death was confirmed by her representative to ABC News. She was 36. The cause of death hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Her passing came just days before her 37th birthday on August 21, bringing an abrupt end to a career that had begun in infancy and spanned more than three decades.

The series that ran from 2012 to 2018, earned her two Golden Globe nominations. She also sang for the show’s soundtrack, allowing her to showcase her singing abilities.
Her film career included appearances in ‘Remember the Titans, Ice Princess, I Love You, Beth Cooper, Scream 4 and Scream VI’.
She also lent her voice to animated projects including A Bug’s Life and Alpha and Omega, and voiced characters in video games including Until Dawn.
Hayden Panettiere had also been increasingly candid about growing up in the public eye and the personal challenges she experienced during her life.
She released her memoir in May 2026, ‘This Is Me: A Reckoning’ in which she looked back at her long career in the public eye and also her own personal struggles.
