Sony has announced the latest batch of PlayStation Plus games that we’ll be able to play from next week, and it includes some fantastic games, it has to be said.

In July 2026, PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers benefited from some fantastic additions that included the action-adventure game Rise of the Ronin. Then, in August 2026, PS Plus Essential subscribers arguably had one of the best months in a while, featuring the new indie hit sensation Big Walk.

Now, it’s the turn once again for those who pay for the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers, and for August 2026, they’ll have some fun new additions. That being said, one game had already been confirmedn 2 game from Capcom, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

As with recent PlayStation Plus months, the new additions to Extra and Premium will be released sporadically rather than all on the same day for the US, United States and Japan. Looking at what’s coming to the service this month, it should have just about something for everyone, which includes the fantastic multiplayer co-op game, Helldivers 2, which wasannounced for PS Plus earlier today. We’ve also got Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which joins the first game that was added to the service a while back, not to mention the indie sensation, Vampire Survivors, to name a few.

Here’s what’s coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in August 2026

    PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium

    • August 12:Helldivers 2 (PS5)
    • August 18:Kingdom Come: Deliverance II(PS5), Vampire Survivors (PS5/PS4)
    • August 25:Hell is Us (PS5), Umamusume Pretty Derby (PS4), Two Point Museum(PS5), Metro Exodus (PS5/PS4), Dying Light 2 (PS5/PS4), all in the UK, US and Japan
    • August 18:Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams (PS5/PS4), Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire (PS5/PS4)

Here’s what we said about Helldivers 2!

“Playing Helldivers 2 almost makes you feel like you’re back in the golden age of online gaming; it’s pure, silly cooperative fun that offers a tailored experience for all kinds of players, whether you’re looking for something casual or your next big challenge,” said GAMINGbible’s Sam in his review, scoring it an “Excellent” 8/10.

Here’s what we said about Kingdom Come: Deliverance II!

“Embrace being the narrator of his story; don’t shy away from it. Henry of Skalitz is yours to command; do him justice and give him an adventure filled with the complexities befitting this honest, hardworking man. There’s a lot of loss and bloodshed during this hostile period, so make sure Henry sees the world before he’s forced to endure the hardships he’s unwittingly set in motion,” said GAMINGbible alumni in her review.

Next up, it will be the PlayStation Plus Essential games for September 2026, and when Sony makes that official announcement, we’ll be sure to let you know ASAP. Though it will be quite the task to top August’s freebies, which included Big Walk.
