During an appearance on the Today show, Andrew Garfield was asked about his experience getting into American football.
Despite his initial hesitation, Garfield has been getting into the sport, revealing that he had become a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
“I’ve been getting into American football! I call it American football because it’s not actual football. Sorry, I know!
“But I’ve been getting into it. I played it on the beach recently with my nephews in Devon, and we had a great time… I’m gonna have to say the 49ers. That’s none of your business; that’s just my team!”

Speaking further, Andrew Garfield also quickly congratulated the New York Knicks and the city as a whole for their 2026 NBA championship.
