The Anime Expo is the “largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America,” according to its website. The convention first originated in 1992 and has continued since, taking place in cities like Los Angeles, Anaheim, New York, San Jose, and even Tokyo

Where will the Anime Expo 2026 take place?

The expo will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Downtown Los Angeles. The address is 1201 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. The website for the expo says there will be an “epic shopping adventure” in the venue’s Exhibit Hall that spans over 340,000 square feet

When is the Anime Expo 2026?

The fun kicks off on July 2 and doesn’t stop until the close of play on July 6

What should I expect at the Anime Expo 2026?

The better question is what notto expect. There will be over 1000 hours of programming, panels, and workshops this year — and what’s been revealed seems like nothing should be missed. From panels about voice acting in anime, to video game previews with Bandai Namco (for the upcoming RPG Echoes of Aincrad), and even a preview of upcoming new Star Warsseries The Ninth Jedi, there’s tons to experience here. To see the full list of programming, visit the expo’s website

Will there be live music performed at Anime Expo 2026?

Yes, and that’s one of the biggest draws for this year’s programming. There will be a “J-Pop Sound Capsule” that features anime songs performed by artists “who shaped anime across generations.” The list of artists performing is as follows: Hachioji P, KZ(livetune), Picco, SatapanP, and TeddyLoid

How much will it cost to attend?

General attendance for all four days will cost $195 for people who are 14 and older. Children from 6-13 will be charged $40, and kids under five years old are free. There’s also one-day ticket pricing available as well
