Following the critical acclaim of The Railway Men, YRF Entertainment, the streaming division of Yash Raj Films, is gearing up for another fact-inspired drama.
According to a report byPinkvilla, the studio is developing Tunnel Men, a new series based on the dramatic 2023 Uttarakhand tunnel rescue, an operation that captured nationwide attention after 41 workers remained trapped inside the collapsed Silkyara tunnel for more than two weeks.

The upcoming series is reportedly being helmed by Ambiecka Pandit and Manan Rawat, marking their first collaboration as directors for YRF Entertainment. Meanwhile, Shiv Rawail, who directed The Railway Men, will return in the role of showrunner, overseeing the creative direction and narrative of the project.
Speaking about the progress of the series, aon work has been progressing steadily, and the team is aiming to recreate the scale and emotional intensity of the rescue operation.”
The project will also be the first to be developed under Saugata Mukherjee since he joined YRF Entertainment as Head of Content, working alongside CEO Akshaye Widhani.
Like its predecessor, Tunnel Men is expected to premiere on Netflix, further extending the collaboration between YRF Entertainment and the streaming platform. The partnership previously resulted in The Romanticsin 2023 and laterThe Railway Men, which was widely appreciated for bringing a real-life tragedy to the screen.
