The 2026 Little League Softball World Series is here, and Sunday night North Carolina will face-off against Canada in a first round matchup. The North Carolina team comes from Clayton in Johnston County. The team from Clayton looked great in the regional, as they didn’t give up a run in winning each of their three games to qualify for the 2026 Little League Softball World Series. The bats were also hot, as they scored 32 combined runs in the three games. The Johnston County team scored 10 points in the first game, 16 in the second game and then six more in its championship-winning game against Rowan Little League. It will hope to keep its run going on Sunday in the first round game against Canada.

It slipped by in the first game, winning 2-1, and then earned the regional championship by winning 9-3. It will get a tougher test with the North Carolina team on Sunday night.
