McFarlane Toys is revisiting one of Superman’s most memorable <a href="https://comicvibe.com/2026-metro-detroit-guide-to-free-comic-book-day/" title="2026 Metro Detroit Guide To FREE Comic Book Day!”>comic book storylines with the release of Superman (Red) and Superman (Blue) as part of DC Super Powers Wave 15. Inspired by the February 1998 Superman Red/Superman Blue one-shot, the new 4.5-inch-scale figures recreate the Man of Steel’s split into two distinct heroes and are currently available for pre-order as part of an Entertainment Earth Exclusive six-figure case.
The exclusive assortment includes individually packaged Superman (Red), Superman (Blue), Batgirl, Batman (1990s), Red Tornado, and Harley Quinn figures. Each release features retro-inspired blister card packaging reminiscent of the original Kenner Super Powers line while incorporating McFarlane Toys’ updated sculpting and detailing. The six-figure case retails for US$80.00 and is scheduled to ship in October 2026.
The Superman Red and Superman Blue figures are based on the landmark one-shot in which a trap orchestrated by Cyborg Superman and Toyman causes Superman to split into two separate beings, each embodying different aspects of his personality. Superman Blue emerges as the more cerebral counterpart, relying on intelligence and careful planning, while Superman Red is more impulsive and decisive, preferring action over deliberation. As the story unfolds, each comes to believe he is the true Superman, creating a growing divide between the two heroes.
The storyline culminates with Superman Red and Superman Blue reuniting after defeating the Millennium Giants—Cabraca, Cerne and Sekhmet—restoring Superman’s traditional powers and iconic costume. By bringing both versions of the Man of Steel to DC Super Powers Wave 15, McFarlane Toys continues to celebrate notable moments from Superman’s comic book history while giving collectors the opportunity to own figures based on one of the character’s most distinctive adventures.
