Like other awards shows, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards sometimes screen upcoming movies to attract a wider audience. This year’s clip is Transformers 1, Paramount is about to release a CG prequel to the live-action film, the next step in the series’ big-screen dreams.
Transformers One The most intriguing thing is that it introduces younger versions of the robots we’ve come to know and love over the years. The story takes place in Cybertron a few years before a civil war destroyed the Earth. Optimus Prime (Chris Hemsworth) and Megatron (Brian Tyree Henry) still retain their original names: Orion Parker Si and D-16. As worker robots, they accidentally reach the surface of the Earth, and the pair – along with Alita One (Scarlett Johansson) and Bee (Keegan-Michael Key) – gain the ability to shapeshift, Can basically do everything they can in movies and cartoons. But the new powers require some stumbling blocks, which means some slapstick — a lot of it, as you can see in the clip below.
Hilarious sequences like Optimus Prime stumbling around with his head buried in his chest and Bumblebee crawling on the floor with his hands will undoubtedly catch the attention of young viewers. This is the first theatrical version Transformers The nearly 40-year-old film is aimed more at the under-12 crowd, which is an interesting change of pace compared to the series’ constant targeting of the teen crowd. This movie’s take on Cybertron doesn’t look bad at all real Beautiful and unique, while clearly influenced by the fan-favorite first-gen aesthetic. If nothing else, this movie may show how far the franchise can go in producing animated films more often, rather than once every decade or so.
Transformers One It will be released on September 20th.
