American voice actor Greg Baldwin, who plays Uncle Iroh in the animated series “Avatar: The Last Airbender”, has unveiled a new cosplay look, teasing a special announcement on social media teasing some news for 2025.
Baldwin, who voiced the beloved Avatar: The Last Airbender character Uncle Iroh in Season 3 of the original animated show, posted a new cosplay photo to his X (formerly Twitter) account wearing Iroh’s classic Fire Nation costume and holding a cup of his signature tea. He captioned the photo: “Let’s stop and smell the tea.” Since then, the post has received over 1,800 likes and over 14,000 impressions. Baldwin followed up the post with a teasing announcement: “I can’t give you any specifics yet…but we’re going to have a record number of fan conventions in 2025! There’s probably one near you! Come see the fat old man sometime.”

Would you like to enjoy some calming jasmine tea?” Several fans commented: “Thank you, uncle” and “Thank you, Greg.” Baldwin has gained a following on many social platforms for his role as Uncle Iroh and his cosplay appearances at conventions. He’s also been very vocal about his love for the character on all platforms, even getting a tattoo of the White Lotus symbol on his forearm. He recently posted a photo of his tattoo and asked if young people would vote for him as part of the “2026 White Lotus Party.”
Baldwin followed up the latter post by saying, “The Order of the White Lotus is a fictional organization dedicated to sharing ancient knowledge across political and national borders. Sounds like an idea whose time has come.”
