According to the reports, Vijay and Sai will be in the city for nearly 10 days, after which the production will shift to Puducherry for the next leg.
Scenes from the romance drama are reportedly filmed abroad. However, Mani Ratnam is reportedly using cutting-edge virtual production technology to recreate those locations rather than filming elsewhere.
Additionally, it has been rumoured that the filmmakers intend to finish the full filming in about 40 days.
A.R. Rahman and Mani Ratnam collaborating on the songs and background soundtrack only heightens the anticipation.
Strong pre-release sales for the film are also indicated by trade chatter. According to estimates, the digital streaming rights were sold for about Rs 20 crore. Big deals have also been made for audio rights and international distribution. However, the producing company has not yet verified these numbers.

Meanwhile, Sai Pallavi is set to make her Bollywood debut with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. She will portray Sita, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Rama.
