Avengers, Spaceballs, and vampires: It’s Comic-Con time. Thousands of pop-culture obsessives are descending upon San Diego for previews and celebrations of upcoming entertainment. Alongside the return of Marvel Studios, Netflix, Warner Bros., and Prime Video will have tentpole shows or movies to tease. Even Apple TV is attending this year. Join us this weekend as we answer all your Comic-Con questions.

Yes! It’s been two years since Kevin Feige got on the Hall H stage and announced Robert Downey Jr.’s return to the MCU. Now Feige & Co. are coming to San Diego to promote Avengers: Doomsday. There’s no confirmation of who, but we’re sure Downey will be in attendance, along with as many other big names as possible. We also don’t know which projects Marvel will touch on beyond the megasize Avengers flick. There’s a new Spider-Man movie out next week, plus a VisionQuest series set for October, and it’s never a bad idea to start talking about the MCU’s plan for the new gen of X-Men. But we’ll know for sure what Feige has planned on Saturday.

Two filmmakers are getting Hall H slots to honor their work. The first is Brad Bird, who will be discussing some beloved animated films, like The Iron Giant,Ratatouille, and The Incredibles, while also showcasing his upcoming Netflix animated neo-noir,Ray Gunn. Then there is Guillermo del Toro’s return to Comic-Con, following last year’s panel with George Lucas, to celebrate 20 years of Pan’s Labyrinth. It’s a homecoming, as del Toro (and the Pale Man actor Doug Jones) promoted the dark fantasy at Comic-Con in 2006. Joining del Toro and Jones this year is Ofelia actress Ivana Baquero and cinematographer Guillermo Navarro.

Apple TV will also be attending Comic-Con for the first time with a peek into some of its biggest shows right now: Silo and Widow’s Bay. The only film on its lineup is John Cena’s Matchbox the Movie, based on the Mattel toys.

Prime Video will have a wide presence. It’s showcasing its upcoming MGM film, Mel Brooks’s sequel to the 1987 Spaceballs. Cast and creatives for the sequel are set to attend Hall H, and boy, we’re just waiting in anticipation to see the potential of Brooks and Keke Palmer interacting on that stage. Filmmaker Mike Flanagan will also be in attendance this year — for the first time — to debut his upcoming Stephen King adaptation of Carrie. It’ll be up against the Marvel Hall H panel, but at least they have Matthew Lillard on their side. And lastly, Prime will be hosting a Hall H doubleheader: Blade Runner 2099, starring Hunter Schafer and Michelle Yeoh, alongside The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.

While DC Studios isn’t looking to present a major panel à la Marvel, its HBO series Lanterns will be present at Hall H with Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, and Damon Lindelof in tow.

Well, Hudson Williams won’t, but his new Crave Original series, Yaga, starring Carrie-Anne Moss, will be. Aside from that, any number of these panels could offer some surprise guest stars. Will Marvel decide to surprise reveal another Doomsday actor?

Aside from Marvel, which may be more of a morbid curiosity for some at this point, the most exciting panel is for The Vampire Lestat. That show has cultivated a dedicated fan base over multiple and consistent years attending the convention, and it’s paid off with a shiny new Hall H slot. I feel like a proud parent. With the third-season finale just airing, maybe we’ll be treated with some extra deleted scenes as a treat, but the panel will definitely be presenting some footage fromThe Vampire Lestat: One Night Only concert held in New York City in June. Fingers crossed that we’ll also get that season-four announcement. They still have a lot to unpack.

Vulture will be there, so follow us and all the news we’re sharing on the site and socials all weekend. Other than that, Comic-Con doesn’t have any livestreams to follow, but trailers will be dropping throughout the weekend.
