Applications Now Open Across Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the U.S.

As Roblox’s user base expands and fast-paced high-fidelity games attract more teens and young adults, meeting their needs means bringing their voices into the room. That’s why we launched our first Teen Council in 2024. With 80% of Roblox’s player community outside the U.S., engaging young people in new parts of the world brings authentic insight into cultural needs. And helps our safety efforts and product features resonate locally while empowering the next generation of digital well-being advocates.

This year’s Teen Council for Civility and Well-Being is expanding to include teens from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Peru—in addition to Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. Users aged 13 to 17 can apply here for the next council, which runs from October 2026 to June 2027. Applications are open now through midnight PDT on August 18. We also announced our inaugural Asia Pacific Teen Council earlier this year and continue seeking applicants from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.

“Our products, as well as our safety and well-being initiatives, are stronger and more authentic when they’re shaped by the voices of our players,” said Andres Cuervo, Roblox’s Senior Program Manager for Youth Engagement. “We’re looking for young leaders, especially those who are passionate about digital well-being, to bring their insights to the table and help us continue to be a global leader in online safety and civility.”

    Teen Council’s Impact

The 2026 Teen Council brought together 20 users, aged 14 to 17, from across North America. Members provided input on features like Roblox Kids and Roblox Select accounts and new chat tools, engaging with Roblox leadership across safety, marketing, and engineering.

The council helped develop a youth guide to Roblox’s Community Standards—written in plain language to help younger users understand platform rules. We used that same language to simplify our in-game reporting flow.

Members also collaborated with media literacy organizations on Roblox’s second digital well-being public service announcement and a new youth well-being page for Mental Health Awareness Month.

“Serving on the council proved how influential teen insight can be when we’re given a seat at the table,” said Sofia, a 2026 Teen Council member. “Roblox really made space for us to feel empowered as advocates and problem-solvers.”

“Every meeting, we heard from new Roblox team members eager to hear our feedback on their work—and then we got to see just how much our feedback impacted the final launch,” said council member Maggie.

    How to Apply

Users aged 13 to 17 living in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, or the U.S. can now apply here for Roblox’s 2027 Teen Council. Applicants for the Asia Pacific council can apply here. All candidates must be proficient English speakers and have parental consent to apply. Applications must be received by midnight PDT on August 18.
