Veteran actor Shabana Azmi reached Jantar Mantar on July 19, where she met several protestors and extended her support to the youth. Later, on July 20, the 75-year-old actress was seen participating in the Chalo Sansad march led by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). She had been continually posting on her social media, sharing updates from the protest. Amid this, one video emerged where the actress was seen being assisted into a security room after seemingly facing dizziness.

A video circulating online from Jantar Mantar shows Shabana Azmilooking weak as she is assisted towards a secured area. The footage shows students asking security personnel to open a gate so that the actress could be moved away from the crowd. They are also heard telling the guards who she is before access is granted.
She is then taken into a security cabin as she walks by holding hands for support. The exact cause of her illness was not immediately known; however, some users on X claimed that she suffered from dizziness due to the heat and suffocation.

Nevertheless, the actress seemingly recovered soon after and was seen climbing barricades, continuing her participation in the protest. Shabana, who has been sharing updates from the protest since morning, shared a video of herself crossing a barricade with the help of protesters. She said, “I have reached here. Seeing the energy and so many people here gives you courage.” The caption read, “Climbing up with the help of young colleagues to the protest site at Jantar Mantar to demand reforms within our educational system and an overhaul of the entire system. Allocate 6 per cent of GDP to education, public health and women’s empowerment to measure the success of our country”
Earlier in the day, the actress shared a picture showing her sitting in a truck at the protest site along with actor Prakash Raj and NCP’s Anish Gawande. Sharing the picture from the protest site, she wrote, “In the truck. The govt has finally asked to have a dialogue. It is a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar for educational reforms.” She also shared a couple of video messages while sitting in the truck.
The veteran actress is clearly out of breath in the videos, but continued to join the protesters as they demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and seek education reforms and accountability over alleged examination irregularities.
