With just days to go before its San Diego Comic-Con panel on Saturday, July 25, Marvel Studios has unleashed the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday online:

Among many things, the trailer lets us see and hear Robert Downey Jr. (speaking with an unrecognizable Eastern European accent) as Doctor Doom for the first time. Doom warns our heroes are facing an “unthinkable decision,” presumably referring to the incursions established in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which those who’ve read Jonathan Hickman‘s Avengers and New Avengers run will recognize is what’s happening to the Avengers and X-Men, meaning either one or both of their worlds will be destroyed.

However, it’s Chris Hemsworth who gets to narrate most of the trailer as Thor, rallying the Avengers, New Avengers, Fantastic Four, and the Wakandans, who are all seen meeting up and allying against the threat. However, it appears the X-Men have no interest in working with the others, with Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) and Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) shown battling Gambit (Channing Tatum) and Mystique (Rebecca Romijn).

Thor is also seen clashing with Doom himself, and realizing even his power is no match for the Latverian dictator’s magic. Then, as we hear him tell the others “a miracle” is needed to stop Doom, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) emerges, with Thor using Mjolnir to prove it really is his retired brother-in-arms. Admittedly, this reveal would’ve proved more impactful had the first Doomsday teaser hadn’t already confirmed Steve’s return, but it’s still nice at least 2/3 of the Avengers trinity will be together again.

Tickets for Doomsday at premimum, Infinity Vision-certified theaters are are on sale now ahead of its release on December 18. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will follow Marvel’s SDCC panel on July 31, and the rerelease of Avengers: Endgame, Avengers: Endgame Encore, will begin on September 25. Additionally, you can check out the new poster for the film below, and stay tuned to The Beat for more news from SDCC ’26.
