Marvel has released highlights from the upcoming Disney+ series, which finally gives us our first look at next year’s revival Daredevilas well as a wealth of other programs.
Marvel Studios TV’s new slate includes seven series, five of which are brand new, one is a revival, and the last one is an extremely serendipitous series What if? If you were me, one of the most exciting would be Daredevil: Rebirthshowing footage for the first time since it was announced in 2022.
Daredevil: Rebirth
Daredevil is the highlight of Netflix’s 2015 Marvel series and a central pillar of the entire series Defenders Franchise. Charlie Cox is excellent as the lawyer and crime fighter, while human shapeshifter Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk is the standout star, giving a performance that’s both mesmerizing and terrifying. The film has been delayed forever, with filming apparently set to wrap in 2022, suggesting a lot of post-production disruption. It finally hits Disney Plus on June 24th.

Programs I’ve Never Heard Before magic man It looks immediately interesting. It’s based on the extremely long-running comic book character, but seems to be getting its own origin story. Ben Kingsley reprises his insane role, originally from iron man 3Trevor Slattery appears to be casting for a new superhero TV show called magic man… Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Morpheus in Matrix Resurrection and Black Manta from DC. aquaman 2) auditioned for the role of Wonder Man and seemed to have powers of his own? It’s still early days for the show, as it won’t air until December 2025.

together with What if?and there are two other animations——Marvel Zombies and Eye of Wakanda. The former is a What if? The spin-off series, I have a hard time caring about, but the latter is a much more interesting exploration of Waganda warriors throughout history. Marvel’s TV shows are what many call “homework.” In order to understand what’s going on in big-screen movies, we owe it to ourselves to sit down. When it comes to sitting through something like snoring, it’s hard to argue with that. The Falcon and the Winter Soldierif you want to know what happens next Thunder*. (Don’t look for the footnotes, that’s the stupid name for this movie.) But turning around also means you miss out on the full joy ms marveland all the setup for this adorable and hilarious movie Miracle. It’s a minefield, and it certainly doesn’t help that Disney+ refuses to create a section on its app specifically for its TV shows.

However, this roster certainly looks more promising than the recent disappointments Echo, Secret Invasion, and the terrible second season Loki. Maybe less homework and more enjoyable screen time.
