BAFTA TV winner Chris Cottam will direct dreamy lighta new ballroom dance comedy film starring Jeremy Irvine, Rupert Everett, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Leighton Williams. “Cornerstone” will launch the film’s global sales at the American Film Market (AFM) in Las Vegas.
Inspired by true stories, dreamy light Jason (Owen) is a gay firefighter in his 30s who aspires to become a professional ballroom dancer. Set in Blackpool, the story charts his journey of self-discovery as he challenges the conventions of dancehall, under the watchful eye of traditional coach Reynolds (Everett).
The film will be choreographed by renowned mother-son dance duo Mark and Shirley Ballas.
