In drama trailer, Renee Elise Goldsbury and Lynn Whitfield are forced to put aside their differences on a fateful road trip Albany Road.
The film, written and directed by Christine Swanson, will open at select AMC Theaters and Malco Theaters on November 15 and will be distributed by those theater chains. Albany Road The show centers on Celeste (Goldsbury), who is preparing for an important business trip and is frustrated by having to share a car with her ex-fiancé’s mother, Paula (Whitfield). Celeste soon learns that Paula is keeping a big secret from her, and the film explores challenging family dynamics and the power of personal growth.
“We face what we fear most or what we want most, and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose,” Whitfield says in the trailer.
Later, while sitting in the car next to Whitfield, Goldsbury exclaimed: “I hate being powerless!”
Swanson wrote and directed the film, produced by Faith Filmworks. The project is executive produced by Brett Hays, Kevin McGrail, Sarah Sharp and Michael Swanson. Other cast members include J. Alphonse Nicholson, Lisa Arrindell and Gary Dourdan.
