Days after the Primetime Emmy noms were unveiled, we have the full list of nominations for the 2026 Daytime Emmys
Up for the Outstanding Daytime Drama prize are ABC’s General Hospital, Peacock’s Days of Our Lives and CBS’ The Young and the Restless and Beyond the Gates, the latter making its debut in the marquee category after launching too late last year to make the window
General Hospitalis going for its third consecutive Drama Series triumph after taking the title at the 2025 Daytime Emmys and in 2024
As for the Daytime Drama category, NATAS says the default target is five nominees, but guidelines state that “in any category where there are fewer than ten (10) submissions, no more than 50% of submitted entries may be nominated. This is a longstanding rule that the National Awards Committee is enforcing across all competitions to ensure the integrity of NATAS competitions and maintain the reputation of excellence for nominees.”
Last year there were only three noms in the category
Overall this morning, The Young and the Restless led all nominees with 18, followed by Behind the Gates with 15 noms and General Hospital with 13. CBS is the leader among networks and platforms, lapping its closest competition from PBS and ABC
Among other notable noms: Among the hopefuls for Daytime Talk Series Host are Kelly Clarkson and Sherri Shepherd, after news that both their eponymous shows aren’t returning in the fall.The Kelly Clarkson Show led all talk shows with 10 noms
Winners will be feted during the 53rd annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony on October 30 at the Hollywood Palladium. A host will be announced later
