Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasió – also known as musical artist Bad Bunny – has found his next on-screen role, joining Cast of Adam Sandler. Happy Gilmore sequel.
Kyle Newacheck, director of Netflix comedy “Sandler” murder mystery, is directing the sequel to Netflix’s 1996 comedy about a wannabe pro hockey player who discovers his talent in golf and reluctantly joins the tour, only to become a sensation. Plot details for the sequel are still being kept under wraps.
Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald return in the sequel, having played Sandler’s on-screen love interest Virginia Venet in the original film and the film’s villain Archer McGavin, a jealous golfer, respectively.
As cameras began filming the comedy, Sandler posted on Instagram on Monday: “It’s not over yet. In my opinion… we’ve only just begun.
Sandler and Tim Herlihy wrote the script and will produce alongside Jake Giaraputo and Robert Simmonds. Original director Dennis Dugan Happy Gilmorewill executive produce alongside Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, David Bausch and Barry Bernardi.
As for Bad Bunny, which is repped by UTA and Rimas Entertainment, the film will mark his latest foray into on-screen roles. He starred opposite Brad Pitt in Sony’s action comedy bullet train with Gael Garcia Bernal in the Amazon TV series Cassandro. He has an upcoming crime thriller from Darren Aronofsky Caught stealing at Sony Pictures.
