Now you can upgrade your weird doll collection with a truly shocking new addition: Battle Beetlejuice, who just made his debut in the Tim Burton movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. In the movie, he’s an old-school figure—a true agent of chaos with the same taste in fashion, albeit with far fewer words and a much smaller stature—and you don’t need to say his name three times Come and summon him. It’ll set you back $130 at the NECA store, so long as you hurry up before this new version inevitably sells out.
Here’s what NECA has to say about this scary guy: “Own a life-size replica doll of the breakout character from the 2024 film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. This 1:1 doll is based on Baby Beetlejuice’s on-screen appearance and is accurately replicated. The doll has 5 points of articulation, posable eyes, artificial root-like hair, authentic film decorations, a weighted body and custom-made clothing. It’s the centerpiece of your Beetlejuice collection and a great addition to your home! Doll measures 14 inches when seated and 19 inches when lying flat. Packaged in a collectible window box.
Interview with Adriano Contreras of io9 and Gizmodo Beetlejuice Beetlejuice During a press conference, one of the film’s (human) stars, Justin Theroux, had high praise for Beetlejuice. “It’s my favorite prop in the whole movie, it’s like an incredible piece of machinery and art. It’s a sculpture, it’s a character in itself. It’s so fun,” he said. “I have all these great videos on my phone. It’s like a doll. It’s controlled by a bunch of people and it can turn its head, look up and down, blink, make faces, be shocked, be vicious. Of course, it has wires on the back and But this is an incredible prop.
NECA’s version isn’t as expressive as the big screen puppet version, but it’s still a stunning replica. According to NECA, the doll is expected to ship in “late September,” which means you’ll likely receive it in time to decorate your Haunted House-Halloween costumes from the Lydia Dietz era.
Here are some more pictures of the character; you’ll need to provide your own green glow light to replicate this display:
