While there is only one Marvel Cinematic Universe movie premiering in 2027, if the production goes as planned, there are plenty of Marvel projects debuting throughout the year. Whether they’re a part of the MCU or other titles based on Marvel’s countless comic book properties, there is enough to keep fans excited. These range from returning animated shows and miniseries to eagerly anticipated live-action projects on television and the big screen. We’re gathering them all here together so you can keep track of each of them in one convenient place.

From announced release dates and cast members to the details that we know so far, each of these projects offer tantalizing directions for Marvel’s superheroes and supervillains. We’re also including projects that aren’t produced directly by Marvel Studios, some of which are no less exciting. As with all release dates in television and film, the premiere dates mentioned here are subject to change.

With that in mind, here is Marvel’s 2027 release schedule with all eight movies and TV shows explained.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 (January 13)

Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) in an amateur Spider-Man suit swings down the street in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man

When it debuted in 2025, the Disney+ animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” breathed new life into fan-favorite webslinger. Set in its own universe, the show has Peter Parker (Hudson Thames) receive a well-connected mentor in Norman Osborn (Colman Domingo) as he starts his superhero career. The show takes its cues from the MCU, with guest heroes and villains appearing semi-regularly, but visually, it’s inspired by the artwork of Steve Ditko and John Romita, Jr. Through it all, the series maintains sight on how Peter’s double life takes a toll on his high school life and the importance of having a good mentor figure.

“Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” set up Season 2 with Norman obtaining a piece of the symbiote that gave Peter his powers in this universe. This hints at the inclusion of Venom, with Josh Keaton cast as Eddie Brock, a fun nod after Keaton played Peter in “The Spectacular Spider-Man.” Peter’s long-lost father Richard Parker, revealed to be incarcerated, was also silently introduced at the end of the season, setting up an uncomfortable family reunion. With Gwen Stacy also joining the show, “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” is set to go deeper into the superhero mythos when it returns on January 13, 2027.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 (expected March 2027)

Daredevil (Charlie Cox) stands in his blackened costume in Daredevil: Born Again

It feels like just yesterday that Charlie Cox made his big return to reclaim the mantle of Daredevil, after Netflix canceled the original version of the superhero series in 2018. Fast-forward nearly a decade later and we’re preparing for the third and final season of the Disney+ revival series “Daredevil: Born Again.” The second season finale set up Season 3 with Matt Murdock (Cox) revealing his superhero secret to the world, resulting in his incarceration for his violent vigilantism. Just as Season 2 saw Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) return, Season 3 will bring back Danny Rand (Finn Jones) and Elektra Natchios (Élodie Yung).

Though “Daredevil: Born Again” was canceled by Marvel months before its Season 3 premiere, we’re still looking forward to it. The series remains as intense and brutal as it ever was on Netflix while incorporating more nods to the wider MCU around it. Plus, this could be the last time that we see Daredevil and the Defenders back in action again, at least with the familiar Netflix era actors in their roles. Sure to put Matt Murdock and his friends through the wringer, “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 3 will hopefully continue to not pull its punches. It’s expected to premiere in March 2027.

    Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (June 18)

Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) sticks to a wall facing the Prowler (Jharrel Jerome) in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse

The acclaimed animated movie “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse” ended on a cliffhanger that left audiences hanging back in 2023. After delays surrounding “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” pushed back the sequel’s intended release date by several years, it looks on track for a June 18, 2027 premiere. The movie will answer what happens to teenager superhero Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) after he was stranded in an alternate universe with a more brutal doppelganger to contend with. The preceding movie’s co-director Justin K. Thompson reunites with “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” co-director Bob Persichetti for the sequel.

At the time of this writing, Sony hasn’t so much as released an official teaser trailer for “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.” This restrained promotional approach has served the studio well before, specifically with the gangbusters reception to this year’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” We’re certainly at the edge of our seats to see if the creative team can stick the landing and, two movies in, they haven’t let us down so far. The “Spider-Verse” movies are ranked highly among the best Spider-Man movies ever so, going “Beyond the Spider-Verse” should be worth the wait.

    X-Men ’97 Season 3 (TBA 2027)

Fans had to wait just over two years for “X-Men ’97” Season 2, but that gap reportedly won’t happen with Season 3. A continuation of the beloved “X-Men: Animated Series,” what some would consider the definitive versions of the characters, the mutant superheroes were left reeling coming out of Season 2. The villainous Apocalypse (Ross Marquand) was defeated, but the X-Men had lost several of their own, most notably Nightcrawler (Adrian Hough). Meanwhile, mutantkind’s relationship with humanity is more fraught than ever while Mystique (Randall Carpenter) has her own fiendish plans.

“X-Men ’97” Season 2 was a dazzling return for the hit revival series, and Season 3 looks to tighten its narrative focus by comparison. One of the weak points of the second season was dividing its narrative across three separate timelines for the first half of the season. Based on how Season 2 ended, Season 3 will likely unfold entirely from a single timeline, as its characters face new threats. A more sophisticated storytelling approach to its classic preceding series, “X-Men ’97” has fans of the show revisit these enduring characters without treading too heavily on pure nostalgia.

Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier (October 2027)

An undead Captain America roars in Marvel Zombies

We were pleasantly surprised how dark and intense “Marvel Zombies” got compared to the rest of Marvel’s recent animated output, bringing a horrific edge to an alternate MCU. The series is set to get a line of two-part specials set in its world, each focused on a different character in its world overrun by ravenous undead. After “Marvel Zombies” cut the Winter Soldier from its first season’s story, the character will headline the first of these specials. The show is set to be directed by Bryan Andrews, who directed the main series, with its episodes expected to debut on Disney+ in October.

Given the ending of “Marvel Zombies,” it’s unclear if Bucky Barnes’ story will take place before, during, or after the main series. “Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier” will be followed by a 2028 special “The Fist of Khonshu” and 2029 special “The Last Guardian.” These specials are poised to expand the terror-fueled scope of the main series while depicting how different characters react to the zombie apocalypse. With his particular set of skills, Bucky is about to be put to the test in “Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier” and we’ll be there to watch in October 2027.

    Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17)

Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) stands in front of Sentinels in Avengers: Doomsday

With “Avengers: Secret Wars” reportedly moving its production into 2027, a delayed release date may be in the cards for the MCU movie. But, at least at the time of this writing, the upcoming film is still officially scheduled for a wide theatrical release on December 17, 2027. As the sequel to “Avengers: Doomsday,” details about “Secret Wars” are currently being kept tightly under wraps until “Doomsday” debuts. This extends to the movie’s cast list, though Samuel L. Jackson has claimed that his next Marvel movie as Nick Fury will be the 2027 release.

While plot details remain unconfirmed, the movie is expected to adapt the 2015 comic book series “Secret Wars” by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic. This storyline saw Doctor Doom rule over a composite reality formed by the remnants of the multiverse with the heroes banding together to overthrow him. Hickman himself is a consultant on “Secret Wars,” so the movie may follow its comic book source material more faithfully than anticipated. Regardless, we’re excited to see where the MCU goes next after the cataclysmic turn of events that’s sure to unfold in “Doomsday.”

Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends (TBA 2027)

Spider-Man and Black Panther stand in front of younger versions of the Avengers in Marvel's Avengers: Mightiest Friends

After a 35-episode single season, “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends” came to an end in April 2026. This paves the wave for another early-age animated series, “Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends,” which is set to premiere sometime in 2027. Like “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends,” this series features versions of its popular superheroes as children working together and enjoying their friendship. Though the voice cast hasn’t been announced, it’s set to include Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Black Widow, Thor, Ms. Marvel, and Hulk.

No official release window for “Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” has been announced so far, bu, if it matches “Iron Man and His Awesome Friends,” it should be in the summer. It’s also unknown how many episodes the show’s first season will receive. But the series will air on Disney Jr. and likely be available to stream on Disney+ afterwards. A good primer for younger audiences into the Marvel Universe, “Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends” is an inviting tour of its superhero-filled world.

Spidey and His Amazing Friends Season 6 (TBA 2027)

Gwen Stacy (Audrey Bennett) high fives Peter Parker (Nick A. Fisher) and Miles Morales (Carter Young) in Spidey and His Amazing Friends

For viewers who may be too young for the “Spider-Verse” movies, the animated series “Spidey and His Amazing Friends” has got them covered. The early age-friendly show premiered in 2021 and is set to release its sixth season on Disney Jr. in 2027 before coming to Disney+. Like the “Spider-Verse” movies, the show revolves around Peter Parker (Nick A. Fisher), Miles Morales (Carter Young), and Gwen Stacy (Audrey Bennett). Like “Marvel’s Avengers: Mightiest Friends,” the show features grade school iterations of the superhero characters as they get into super-powered hijinks and celebrate their friendship.

No official release window has currently been announced for “Spidey and His Amazing Friends” Season 6, but historically, the show has released new episodes during the summer. The series features the trio facing all the usual supervillains in Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery but with the action and stakes far less intense. It’s unknown which new characters are joining the show in Season 6, but Season 5 added Silk (Aveline Choi) to the heroic ensemble. Bringing freewheeling and fun set of adventures starring younger webslingers, “Spidey and His Amazing Friends” is a great gateway into the world of Spider-Man.
