The game is still running when Siggi gives the headphone plug a very deliberate little tug. This cat seems to have decided her human has spent quite enough time on video games. And she has found a rather direct way to make that point. A clip shared by @just.siggiandbryn catches the moment Siggi investigates the headphones’ cable, gets it between her teeth, and pulls it right out of the socket. Her human spots the interruption almost immediately, but Siggi looks pretty pleased with her work.
Cat discovers a clever way to interrupt her human’s gaming time
The video starts with her human settled in front of the computer, with two screens up and a game in progress. A cat is perched on the speaker system nearby, though, and Siggi has her attention on something other than the action on screen.
The on-screen text reads, “POV: Your cat has just learned to unplug headphones,” and the camera zooms in to show exactly how she does it. First, Siggi gives the auxiliary cable a little sniff with her nose. Then she takes the plug into her mouth, gets a grip on it, and pulls it out of the port. Just like that, the audio connection is gone.
A hand quickly enters the frame to plug it back in, so the game can continue. Siggi, meanwhile, appears rather satisfied with the interruption. Her human’s caption makes the whole thing even funnier: “She’s so pleased with herself. This was like the third or fourth time she did it, and I finally caught it on camera.”
So this wasn’t a random cable mishap. Siggi had tried the move several times before her human managed to record it, which makes the little nose inspection and careful pull even more amusing.
The clip has earned over 25,100 likes, and plenty of viewers recognize the problem. One person says their cat turns off the computer, while another has a cat that unplugs the fan to get breakfast. Someone else has already switched to cordless headphones, only for their cat to discover the case’s power button.
