Utah, Nov. 5, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Between Nov. 6 and 22, Hogle Zoo is offering an incentive to guests who donate non-perishable food to help Utah families in need
An adult paying the regular admission of $22.95 at the ticket window can receive one child admission, for ages 3 to 17, for each food item item donated. The limit is three free children per paying adult.
The offer is good during regular hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for tickets purchased at the on-site ticket window. Online Zoo tickets are not eligible. Promotions and discounts cannot be combined.
Donated non-perishable food items donated at the ticket window will go to the Utah Food Bank.
Donated food should be commercially packaged (non-glass), non-perishable, and nutritious (ideally all-natural ingredients, low-sodium, low-sugar, and no high-fructose corn syrup).
The Utah Food Bank’s most needed items are:
- Peanut Butter
- Mac & Cheese
- Canned Meats (Tuna, Chicken, or Beef)
- Chili
- SpaghettiOs & Ravioli
- Canned Fruits
- Other Boxed Meals
“Last year, Utah Food Bank distributed 57.8 million meals through its statewide network of 390 partner agencies,” the Zoo statement says. “Your donations help make a difference for Utah families.”
