World of Warcraft: Forever launches at 3:00 p.m. PST today, and everyone’s starting from level 1. Back to the original continents, back to the long road to 60, and this time you can roll a Skyborne and start your story on Zephras Isle. Familiar roads, new surprises, and an Azeroth that keeps growing after you hit the cap. To celebrate, we’re running a week of WoW: Forever on Twitch with a new way to catch every moment, plus earn epic rewards.
Catch Up on Azeroth with NEW Category Recaps
The road to 60 is long, and nobody can watch every six-hour stream. So we built something for the moments you missed.
Starting this week, category pages on the Twitch website will have Stream Recaps shelves, where you can find short Recaps from recent streams pinned right above the live channels. Open the World of Warcraft category and you can catch the first Skyborne runs, the dungeon wipes and the plays everyone’s clipping, all in a few minutes.
If you’ve never watched a Recap, we’ve got you. A Recap is a short highlight reel of a stream, built from clips made by the streamer, their editors and their viewers. The new shelf brings together Recaps from streams in the World of Warcraft: Forever category, so you can catch up on streamers beyond the ones you follow. You’ll probably find a few new favorites along the way.
World of Warcraft is the first category to get Recaps, and every other category on Twitch gets them later this week. A game where every streamer starts fresh at level 1 is a pretty good place to start.
Make Your Recaps Stand Out
Your Stream Recap is built automatically from your stream’s clips, but you can make it your own.
- Head to your Stream Summary after your stream.
- Pick the moments you want people to see (viewer clips included), and save.
- Your updated Recap is what viewers see on the category page.
Show Off Your Build
With the new WoW: Forever Armory, your abilities, build and equipment show up right on your channel. Viewers can see exactly how you’re playing and use it to plan their own journey through Azeroth.
Add it directly from your Creator Dashboard before your next stream.
Unlock Limited-Time Horde and Alliance Badges
Show your allegiance by subscribing or gifting a sub to your favorite World of Warcraft streamer to receive the Horde and Alliance chat badges!
Be sure to check out a very special stream happening right now on /warcraft. Who knows, there may be an upcoming major reveal and a particularly exciting moment you don’t want to miss!
Streamers, go live in World of Warcraft: Forever and add your Stream Recaps to get featured on the category page. And viewers, check out all the best moments from one of the biggest game launches of the year!
