Finding games that match your setup is getting even easier.
To give players even more detailed information upfront, we’re launching accessibility tags on YouTube Playables, so you know what to expect before jumping into a game.

What’s new in game discovery
When browsing YouTube Playables, you can open any game’s info panel to see its supported tags all in one place, on both mobile and web.
In alignment with the with the Accessible Games Initiative tags, we’re introducing twenty-four tags across key categories:
- Controls and input: Check for touch-only play, keyboard controls, stick inversion, button remapping, and play without rapid button presses or holds.
- Audio and visual options: Look for narrated menus, mono or surround sound, color alternatives, large text, and clear subtitles.
- Gameplay adjustments: Find titles with customizable difficulty levels and save-anytime options.
Building a shared industry standard
This rollout is the result of years of leadership and collaboration amongst the founding members of the Accessible Games Initiative to make game discovery consistent everywhere.
We’re proud to support the Accessible Games Initiative alongside our industry partners, giving players consistent, reliable information across every platform — including YouTube Playables. Now, whether you see a tag on YouTube Playables, a console, or a PC store, if it’s from the Accessible Games Initiative, you know that it means the exact same thing.
What developers need to know
Providing transparent details upfront takes the frustration out of finding new games and builds lasting loyalty, even leading to a 60% boost in repeat players.
If you publish on YouTube Playables, you can add these tags right now in the developer portal under Game Details. Tagging your game takes just a few clicks as part of the standard publishing process and helps players easily identify titles that fit their needs.
