Andy Burnham will share his opinions on the nation’s favourite TV shows on Friday night when he appears on Channel 4’s Gogglebox.
The Prime Minister will appear on a charity episode of the programme alongside Steve Rotheram, the Mayor of Liverpool.
Gogglebox depicts couples and families across Britain reacting to the past seven days of documentaries, dramas, reality shows and television news.
The Stand Up to Cancer charity special starring Mr Burnham and Mr Rotheram, which was filmed inside his Downing Street flat, will air at 9.05pm on Friday.
The shows that the pair give their opinions on could include Celebrity Traitors, as well as The Great British Bake Off and Strictly Come Dancing.
However, Downing Street declined to confirm what Mr Burnham would be tuning into, with a No 10 to find out
A preview video clip uploaded to Channel 4’s Instagram account on Thursday featured footage of the black door of 10 Downing Street and audio of Mr Burnham and Mr Rotherham.
Craig Cash, the comedy actor who is the Gogglebox voiceover narrator, could be heard introducing the pair with the joke: “In Downing Street, good friends Andy and Steve.”

The Prime Minister could be heard saying: “Might have some crisps out here. Do you want any? I’ve got Skips, pork scratchings, Twiglets – Twiglets are probably the best, to be honest, aren’t they?”
Mr Rotheram said he would “probably go for” the Skips, prompting an incredulous reply from his former mayoral colleague.
The Prime Minister has previously said that his favourite television show was The Royle Family, the comic creation of the late Caroline Aherne which follows a television-obsessed Manchester family.
Although Mr Burnham is the first Prime Minister to take part in Gogglebox, he is not the first Labour leader, as Jeremy Corbyn appeared on the show in 2017.
As prime minister in 2013, David Cameron featured on Comic Relief, takinga cameo role in a music video by One Direction.
In 2007, Sir Tony Blair, the then prime minister, featured in a Comic Relief sketch that saw Lauren Cooper, the Catherine Tate character, attempting work experience in Downing Street.
