Ana Navarro just shut down two of her fellow View cohosts during a tense on-air moment.
The cohosts engaged Tuesday in a heated back-and-forth related to a report that stars Stephen A. Smith, Bill Maher, and Kid Rock had dinner with Donald Trump at the White House on Oct. 15.
Republican cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin — who previously worked for Trump’s communications team before resigning and subsequently speaking out against him — reacted to the news by pointing out that “the president has called me a loser, a clown, and many other things,” but that she’d still willingly engage in a conversation with him to hopefully influence change.

“The president doesn’t know my name, so I’m waiting for my invite,” panelist Sara Haines joked, before Navarro (a registered Republican and frequent Trump critic) emphatically stated that there’s “no way in hell I would want to break bread or be in the same room with a man whose administration is hunting Latinos,” referencing ongoing immigration raids under the direction of Trump.
“It’s not Lady and the Tramp, you’re not going to slurp pasta,” Haines replied, which made Griffin laugh. Navarro, however, balked at the quip, raising her hand to shut both women down: “No, but, listen, stop, this is not funny!”
She continued: “I know that he’s seen the polls of Latinos going against him, that he’s lost 50 points of support with Latinos, and his administration has doubled down on their cruelty” against the community. “You think I’m going to go share a meal with that man?” she asked.
Referencing Navarro’s on-air performance during a recentViewinterview with Sen. Thom Tillis, Haines pointed out, “You grilled Sen. Tillis here, you’ve grilled other people, you’re saying [you’d engage] only if they sit with you?”
Navarro doubled down on her prior sentiment, telling Haines, “You know who’s going to hold him accountable? The people that are going to vote in the midterm elections,” while Griffin said she had “total confidence that [Navarro] would put information in front of him that he’s never seen, he’s never heard,” and opportunities like that can have an impact on policy.
“I’m not going to normalize that man, I’m not going to give him the time of day,” Navarro stressed. “I’m going to vote against him, I’m going to campaign against him, and I’m going to tell people to hold him accountable.”

Griffin then told Navarro, “You have to show up to the fight,” which Navarro clearly didn’t like.
“I show up to the fight every day. I can buy my own damn wine and my own damn food,” she said, while Griffin clapped back, “It’s not about eating with him, it’s about having a conversation,” while moderator Whoopi Goldberg eventually stepped in to end the argument.
Tuesday’s clash marks the latest in years of tension between Navarro and Griffin, with the latter memorably rolling her eyes while Navarro spoke during a 2023 segment on the show, while she also remarked to Navarro during a discussion about workplace toxicity during an earlier broadcast: “I can’t really get a word in without you attacking me,” adding, “So, I wouldn’t say this is a totally different environment of women supporting each other.”

WhenEntertainment Weeklyasked Navarro in a recent interview about tension with Griffin (and the fact that the cohosts are the only current View cast members who don’t follow each other on social media), she refused to explain.
“Oh, I’m not going to answer that. I don’t want to talk about… if I was going to talk about The View, I’d have to have The View PR on with us. Don’t ask me questions about The View. I’m not going to answer them without letting The View PR know that I’m doing a conversation about it,” Navarro said at the time during a conversation about herBleep! podcast.
