VIZ ANNOUNCES NEXT ARC OF ‘JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE’
Plus: ‘Kamisama Kiss’ Box Set

VIZ Media has announced its Summer 2027 licenses on social media, and they include the upcoming arc of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, as well as a boxed set of Kamisama Kiss and more.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Part 8—Jojolion is set in the same universe as the current best-selling Steel Ball Run, and VIZ will publish it in a similar hardcover format with bonus color pages.  The first volume of Steel Ball Run was one of the top selling manga in comic shops during the first six months of 2026 (see “Top 20 Manga“).

Also in the works: A complete box set of Kamisama Kiss, containing all 25 volumes and a bonus 32-page booklet with original Japanese art.  The shojo series was one of the top manga franchises when it was in initial release (see “Top 10 Shojo Franchises – Summer 2014“), and the anime started running on Crunchyroll in 2022 (see “Crunchyroll Additions“).

In addition, VIZ  announced several manga that are new to North American audiences: 

• Someone Hertz, by Ei Yamano, a Shonen Jump romcom about two high schoolers who are fans of a late-night comedy show;
• Under Doctor, by Kyō Tanimoto, another Shonen Jump series about a reformed assassin who uses his specialized knowledge to heal people rather than kill them;
• Diabo a Quatro, by Mariana, a quest fantasy set in modern-day Portugal;
• His Sweet Solace, by Rose Takada, a slice-of-life romance about a struggling writer who brings a sex therapist into her life;
• Belladonna’s Lover, by Ru1mm, a one-shot supernatural yuri romance;
• Astray, by Wishroomness and Keon Tan, an intergalactic graphic novel about a girl who hires on with a mercenary service in order to rescue her cat, who has been kidnapped by aliens;
• Bus for Two, by Sakane Toyobayashi, a shonen romcom about teens who have been riding the bus to school together for years and finally start talking to each other.

Upcoming non-manga titles include a Jujutsu Kaisen coloring book, a Dandadan character guide, an all-in-one edition of the Howl’s Moving Castle film comic, and The Gifted Gene and My 70% Movie Body, a book of essays by video game designer Hideo Kojima.
