The Tamil drama Enna Vilai, featuring Karunas and Nimisha Sajayan in lead roles, will be released in theatres this September and will also be available on digital platforms. The film is directed by Sajeev Pazhoor, and it’s the story of an average family man whose life takes a turn when he finds a gold pendant in the sea.
Enna Vilai OTT Release Date And Where To Stream
Enna Vilai released in theatres on September 17, 2026. The film is now set to arrive on Netflix on October 15, 2026, allowing viewers to catch the social drama from the comfort of their homes.
The makers announced the OTT premiere on social media with an interesting line, “Oru chinna gold pendant, motha kudumbathoda vaazhkaye thalakeezha maatha mudiyuma?” — can a small gold pendant change the course of an entire family’s life.

The movie will be released in Tamil and also in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
What is Enna Vilai?
Against the Rameswaram backdrop, Enna Vilai is about Thavasi Muthu, a family man who works hard to give his children a better life.
Thavasi goes to the sea to gather the coins that the temple visitors throw into the water, to support his family and give his children a good education. His life takes a drastic turn when he finds a valuable gold pendant in one of his dives.
But Thavasi decides to give the jewellery to the authorities rather than keep it secretly. But his choice to do the right thing quickly lands him in hot water.
The find brings unwanted attention and causes a bunch of problems for Thavasi and his family. His honesty is doubted, and he has to fight in front of situations that can be fatal for his name and for the tranquillity of his family.
He tries to show that he has not done anything wrong, but finally an official steps in to back him up. The film touches on the issues of honesty, poverty, social inequality and the problems faced by the common people when they come in contact with the big forces.
Thavasi Muthu is the lead actor, and Nimisha Sajayan plays a pivotal role. The supporting cast features Vijayalakshmi Veeramani, Shashaa Shivakumar, Kamalesh Jagan, Heesha, Chethan Cheenu, Mohan Raman, Y. Gee. Mahendra, Kavithalayaa Krishnan, TSR Srinivasan, Nizhalgal Ravi and Poornima Bhagyaraj and others.
Written and directed by Sajeev Pazhoor, the film is produced by Githesh Viswambharan and Anugopal Venugopalan. Sam CS has scored the music and background score. Alby Antony is the cinematographer and Sreejith Sarang is the editor.
Now that the OTT release has been confirmed, Enna Vilai is expected to reach wider audiences in various languages when it streams on Netflix on October 15, 2026.
