Signed LEGO DC Joker comic book already going for big bucks

With a price tag to wipe the smile off your face

A signed copy of Detective Comics # 880 with a LEGO DC Joker-ized cover has already hit the secondary market… and it’s not cheap.

New York Comic Con 2026 is currently in full swing, with plenty of LEGO content for visitors at the show to experience. Those who check out the DC booth will be able to get a glimpse of three new LEGO Batman sets for 2027, with a free comic book available at the event based on one of those builds already going for big bucks on eBay.

67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover was inspired by the look of the striking cover for Detective Comics # 880, created by Jock. The artist was signing special reprints of the issue at the DC booth yesterday, which was available to attendees who pre-ordered the LEGO set in advance at New York Comic Con 2026.

Now, a copy of the exclusive Detective Comics # 880 comic book has made its way onto the secondary market, although you’ll need to dig deep if you’re hoping to add the title to your collection.

An eBay listing currently has a copy of the special LEGO Detective Comics # 880 promotion signed by Jock going for $125 (£94.45), plus shipping from the US. The New York Comic Con 2026 freebie boasts a shiny foil background and an image of 67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover to match the original artwork, as well as the artist’s signature in red.

While it’s likely that more copies of the exclusive LEGO Detective Comics # 880 will probably make their way onto the secondary market at some point after the show has ended, there are no guarantees that they’ll prove to be any cheaper.

67012 The Joker Wall Art Comic Cover is due to launch on January 1, 2027 for £149.99 / $169.99 / €169.99, in addition to two new Batmobiles, all which can be pre-ordered now.
