The LEGO Group has officially announced a crossover between Star Wars and Marvel in LEGO form, hot on the heels of a fusion between the two in a comic.
Marvel and Star Wars will be crossing paths in a new comic run in 2027, and the LEGO Group will be building on that concept with a LEGO Marvel and Star Wars crossover. It will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Wars, and we can expect one new LEGO model from the fusion.
A new LEGO Ideas challenge starts today, asking fans to combine Star Wars and Marvel characters, vehicles and scenes in LEGO models, and the winner of the contest will become an official set.

“Working on the upcoming Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles comic series has been incredibly exciting, and this LEGO Ideas challenge reflects the same spirit of creativity inspired by these two iconic universes,” stated Kevin Smith, actor, director and Marvel Comics writer.
“This challenge gives fans a chance to be part of something never done before, and I can’t wait to see all of the creative Marvel and Star Wars mash ups it inspires!”
The challenge page has not gone live at the time of writing, but there will be a fan vote on December 8. The winners will be announced next year, and a release window for the eventual set has not been confirmed.
“This challenge is a milestone for LEGO Ideas and our fan community,” said Fede Begher, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Group at the LEGO Group. “For the first time ever, fans can build with both Marvel and Star Wars in a single LEGO Ideas challenge, unlocking entirely new possibilities for creativity and storytelling.
“We know our fans never stop imagining new ways to bring their favourite worlds together, and we’re excited to see the originality, passion and innovation they bring to this unique crossover.”
The LEGO Ideas Star Wars and Marvel crossover contest is intended to get underway today, and we’ll report back with any further details as soon as we have them. You can get caught up on everything rumoured for 2027 by clicking here. Don’t miss the recently revealed67006 The Marvel Skyline, too.
