    Marvel announces exciting titles

Cast members and filmmakers from forthcoming Marvel Television and Marvel Animation series headed to Disney+ gathered at the Empire Stage during New York Comic Con earlier for a special panel spotlighting the highly anticipated titles, which featured a surprise screening of Episode 1 of ‘VisionQuest,’ the brand-new original series premiering 14th October.

Following the panel, a special Marvel NYCC Reception took place at the city’s Yacht Club.

Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel Television, Animation and Comics, got things underway by beginning where everything begins—with the comics.

He invited Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Stephen Wacker on stage for a brief preview of the Marvel Comics announcements scheduled for later in the weekend, then moved on to several exciting reveals.

Marvel Television’s new live-action series, Zodiac, is in the middle of casting and is scheduled to begin production in 2027. Disney+’s Zodiac will premiere in 2028. Marvel Animation’s Marvel Zombies will return with three additional two-part special events: ‘Marvel Zombies: Winter Soldier’ arriving for Halloween 2027, ‘Marvel Zombies: Fist of Khonshu’ for Halloween 2028, and ‘Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian’ for Halloween 2029.

Winderbaum also gave the more than 3,000 fans present an exclusive early glimpse of Season 3 of Marvel Animation’s hit series X-Men ’97, then passed the stage to moderator Brandon Davis of The Brandon Davis Show, who invited showrunner Jeff Trammell up to discuss Season 2 of ‘Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man ‘.

Trammell revealed that Season 2 of the series will premiere on Disney+ on January 13, 2027, and unveiled the show’s poster before presenting an exclusive preview.

Davis then announced the cast of the final season of ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ bringing the Defenders back together on stage: Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, and Finn Jones showed up to give an exclusive first look at the upcoming third season, which arrives on Disney+ in 2027.

After that, Paul Bettany, who portrays The Vision, and James Spader, who portrays Ultron, came on stage with showrunner Terry Matalas and co-stars Ruaridh Mollica and Emily Hampshire for a panel discussion that included an exclusive preview of the series.

The cast subsequently revealed that the fans present at New York Comic Con would be given a surprise screening of Episode 1, and then, as they left the convention centre, everyone received an exclusive mini-poster.

Having been rebooted and having escaped those who wanted to use him as a weapon, Vision has remained in hiding. In search of new purpose, he turns to the AI personas built into his programming, among them F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the notorious Ultron.

His quiet, inconspicuous life comes to an end when a bounty on his head forces him to flee alongside Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who could be Vision’s son, reborn. While Vision avoids being captured, he must face his own nature, withstand Ultron’s influence, and solve the mystery of his young companion in order to survive.

VisionQuest features Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, along with Emily Hampshire and James D’Arcy.

The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, and Terry Matalas, and Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura

VisionQuest was created for television by Terry Matalas and draws from Marvel Comics. Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Paul Bettany, Mary Livanos, Terry Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne serve as executive producers, while Roopesh Parekh is the producer.

VisionQuest will be available to stream on JioHotstar in India on 14th October, in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
