Horror fans heading to New York Comic-Con 2026 are in for one seriously terrifying—and exciting—treat! Blumhouse Atomic Monster is bringing its annual BlumFest celebration back to the Javits Center this Friday, October 9, promising fans an afternoon packed with special guests, first looks, announcements, surprises, giveaways, and plenty of horror goodness.
This year’s BlumFest will be hosted by none other than MatPat, creator of The Game Theorists. Known for his legendary deep dives into the lore of Five Nights at Freddy’s and The Backrooms, MatPat has become one of the internet’s biggest voices when it comes to uncovering the stories, secrets, and theories hiding beneath some of pop culture’s most fascinating worlds. Needless to say, he seems like the perfect person to lead a BlumFest packed with horror surprises!
And the guest lineup? Absolutely stacked.
MatPat will welcome a terrifyingly talented group of special guests, including director Mike Flanagan and The Exorcist star Chiwetel Ejiofor, River star Jessica Rothe, multimedia storyteller Heidi Wong, James Wan, director and founder of Atomic Monster, and Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse.
If that wasn’t enough to get horror fans rushing to the Empire Stage, BlumFest promises plenty more. The session will feature first looks, major announcements, surprises, and giveaways galore—meaning fans attending in person will want to be ready for anything.
When and Where Is BlumFest at New York Comic-Con?
BlumFest kicks off at 6:00 PM ET on Friday, October 9, on the Empire Stage at the Javits Center in New York City. Doors for the session open at 5:30 PM, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure a seat.
With Blumhouse Atomic Monster behind the event, there’s no telling what could be revealed once the lights go down. Between The Exorcist, Five Nights at Freddy’s, The Conjuring Universe, Insidious, M3GAN, and the many other horror properties under the Blumhouse Atomic Monster umbrella, there are certainly plenty of possibilities for what could be lurking behind the curtain.
