As Prime Video’s “Reacher” wrapped its fourth season on Sept. 16, the streamer launched spinoff series “Neagley” with widespread viewership.

All eight episodes of the first season were released together, generating 1.78 billion viewing minutes in its first five days to rank No. 1 overall and on the acquired-content chart, according to new Nielsen data through Sept. 20.

Meanwhile, “Reacher” notched 1.42 billion minutes for third overall and No. 3 among originals. In the six weeks since its new season premiered on Aug. 12, season four has tallied 5.8 billion minutes, and 8.3 billion minutes across the series (70% attributable to season four). When comparing the audiences, “Neagley” skewed more female (49%) than “Reacher” (46%).

Following at No. 2 overall and on the originals chart with 1.48 billion minutes was Netflix’s limited series “Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story,” from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. With 52% of its audience coming from the 18-49 age range, “Lizzie Borden” had the second-highest share of viewing from this demo behind “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” (360 million minutes, No. 10 originals), although it led originals in this demo from an average audience perspective, according to Nielsen.

Paramount+ original series “Lioness” (897 million minutes, No. 4 originals / No. 5 overall) wrapped its third season on Sept. 20 to close out a strong run that included its first ever billion-minute week. Over the course of eight weeks, season three captured 3.9 billion minutes, a 62% increase over season two’s seven-week release period. The bulk of viewing went to the newest episodes, however, season one and season two generated an additional 2.5 billion minutes over the same period.

Apple TV’s “Ted Lasso” extended its streak on the top 10 overall chart to seven consecutive weeks, capturing 767 million minutes and taking No. 5 among originals and No. 6 overall. The series has made the overall chart in each week since its fourth season premiered on on Aug. 5.

Also on the originals chart, Netflix original “The Gentlemen” (544 million minutes, No. 7) charted for a third consecutive week since its second season premiered on Sept. 3. The Paramount+ show “SEAL Team” followed at No. 8 with 541 million minutes. The series was added to Netflix on Aug. 18 and has remained on the originals chart for five consecutive weeks.

Netflix continues to see ongoing success with international series in the U.S., with Canadian series “Crew Girl” (635 million minutes, No. 6 on the originals chart) and Dutch series “The Perfect Lie” (412 million minutes, No. 9).

Elsewhere, Netflix owned the top three spots on the movie chart with Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married Again? No. 1 for a second week with 332 million minutes.

Netflix’s The Seemingly Perfect Family, a Lifetime original, took No. 2 on the movie chart with 302 million minutes. Puss in Boots: The Last Wish secured No. 3 with 250 million minutes, drawing a large chunk of viewing from kids 2-11 (36%).

HBO Max’s Supergirl stayed on the movie chart at No. 4 with 218 million minutes. Disney+’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu also remained on the chart with 159 million minutes at No. 6.
