Disney+ MENA licenses Inter Medya’s “Halef “as first Turkish title

The Most Production-backed drama will launch on Disney+ MENA as the platform rolls out its upgraded streaming service across the region on October 6.

Inter Medya has licensed “Halef”, the drama produced by Most Production and broadcast on Now in Turkey, to Disney+ MENA. The deal marks the first Turkish title to be acquired for the platform in the Middle East and North Africa.

The announcement was made at Disney+’s launch event in Riyadh, ahead of the rollout of its upgraded streaming app across MENA on October 6. “Halef” starsİlhan Şen and Biran Damla Yılmaz, who attended the event alongside creator and producer Gül Oğuz and representatives from Inter Medya.

The cast officially announced the series’ arrival on Disney+ MENA during the event and later joined a press conference with regional and international media. The Riyadh appearance also generated significant social media attention, with posts featuring the actors reportedly reaching millions of views on X.
