A team of exceptionally talented acapella artists is set to represent Bangladesh for the first time at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia.
Beatmosphere won NTV’s “Voice of Bangladesh | Song for Eurovision Song Contest Asia” at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka on September 30. The group will now represent Bangladesh at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia Grand Finale in Bangkok on November 14.

The lyrics of “Tumi Ele”, the winning song, were composed by Moktadir Dewan, Mahi Bin Ashraful, Khandaker Shams, and Sidratul Mursalin Bhasha.

Beatmosphere was selected through a voting system combining domestic audience votes, jury votes, and international audience votes. These accounted for 40 percent, 40 percent, and 20 percent of the final result, respectively. The jury comprised Bappa Mazumder, Fahmida Nabi, Hamin Ahmed, Akhi Alamgir, and Shawkat Ali Emon.

Ten acts performed original songs in the finale: Krishan Barman with “Kachuri Ful”; SUBCONSCIOUS with “Janalachobi”; Pulak Adhikary with “Anari Majhi”; Lubaina Afnan with “Dishehara”; Benazir Zilani with “Ghum Chokhe Raat”; Nami Imran Sharot with “Anushilon”; Nusrat Jahan Kriti with “Desi Star”; Vintage Theory with “BOOMERANG!”; Beatmosphere with “Tumi Ele”; and The Kushiyara Waves with “Lover’s Prayer”.

Singers Shithi Shaha and Zohad performed at the event. Bongo CEO Fayaz Taher, Managing Director Ahad Mohammad Bhai, and NTV Managing Director Md Ashfaq Uddin Ahmed were also present.
The Eurovision Song Contest Asia brings together artists from across the region. Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam are also set to participate.
The finale for “Voice of Bangladesh”, produced by Bongo, was hosted by singer and actor Tahsan Khan and broadcast live on Bongo and NTV.
