After shattering theatrical records and making history with its OTT viewership, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar The Revenge (2026) is now set to make its television premiere. The Aditya Dhar-directed film, however, has received major cuts from the CBFC ahead of its TV premiere.

Dhurandhar The Revenge TV premiere to get 45-50 cuts

Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which was released in March this year, is all set to air on Star Gold on Sunday, October 18, at 7:00 pm. Given that the film was originally certified ‘A’ for its theatrical release, the makers had to submit the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) once again. Consequently, they were asked to make the necessary modifications to make it television-friendly and suitable for younger viewers.

Notably, the theatrical version of the film had aruntime of 229.6 minutes, which translates to 3 hours, 49 minutes and 6 seconds. This indicates that the revised version of Dhurandhar The Revenge is set to be 10 minutes shorter.

The Dhurandhar franchise, directed by Aditya Dhar stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. It is produced by Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios and Jyoti Deshpande’s Jio Studios.

The film revolves around the story of an Indian spy who infiltrates a dreaded gang in Karachi, Pakistan, creating havoc. The first instalment, Dhurandhar (2025), was released on December 5, 2025, followed by Dhurandhar The Revenge, which arrived in cinemas this year on March 19.
