Exclusive interview.- As the igaming industry gathers at SBC Lisbon, Pronet Gaming is taking a deliberate approach to its market presence, focusing on high-value conversations <a href="https://comicvibe.com/bts-rm-expresses-gratitude-over-2026-vmas-win-as-k/” title=”BTS RM expresses gratitude over 2026 VMAs win as K”>over traditional floor space. By bridging Asian operator expertise with aggressive global scaling across Europe and Latin America, the platform provider is refining its technology to meet changing market demands. In this exclusive interview with Focus Gaming News, Pronet Gaming CEO Alex Leese shares how direct operator feedback, real-time data, and flexible multi-channel architectures are driving the company’s vision for the future of platform partnerships.

How does your presence at the conference support your broader European roadmap?

Lisbon gives us an opportunity to stay close to the conversations shaping the European market and, importantly, to hear directly from operators about where their priorities are changing. While Asia remains a key focus, our role goes beyond supporting operators in the region. Built around the idea “from Asia to the world”, we alsohelp Asian operators take their businesses into international markets, with the technology, localisation, and market expertise needed to expand into Europe and LatAm. For us, being in Lisbon is less about having a physical presence on the show floor and more about being present in the conversations that matter to our customers and partners.

“Being in Lisbon is less about having a physical presence on the show floor and more about being present in the conversations that matter to our customers and partners.”

Alex Leese, CEO at Pronet Gaming.

Which discussions or panels are most relevant to your team’s objectives in Lisbon?

The Technology & Innovation agenda is particularly relevant to us, especially the discussions around sports betting innovation, real-time data, AI, cross-platform experiences, and omnichannel technology. These areareas that directly connect with how operators, in Asia and beyond, are thinking about their products and how platforms need to evolve to support them. The most valuable conversations, however, are often the ones that happen between the sessions. Those direct conversations with operators help us understand what the market actually needs, rather than simply what the industry says it needs.

How do you leverage industry events to strengthen relationships with operators and partners?

For us, events are an extension of the relationships we build throughout the year, not a replacement for them. We use them as an opportunity to meet existing customers and partners face-to-face, understand what is changing in their businesses, and have more open conversations about where they need greater flexibility or support. Thatoperator feedback is incredibly valuable. It helps inform everything from product priorities to localisation and the way we approach partnerships. We’ve always believed that strong technology is only part of the equation. The other part is understanding the business and the market it operates in.

What role does Pronet Gaming aim to play in shaping conversations around platform innovation?

We want to contribute a practical, operator-led perspective. Innovation shouldn’t simply mean adding another piece of technology to a platform; it should solve a real commercial or operational problem for the operator and ultimately improve the player experience. Our approach is shaped by our B2C experienceand by working closely with operators across different markets. That gives us a useful dual perspective: understanding what operators need commercially while also understanding what players expect from the experience. For us, the most meaningful innovation is technology that gives operators more control, more flexibility, and the ability to respond faster to their market.

How are you evolving your platform to meet the demands of multi-channel operators?

The direction is towards greater flexibility and consistency across channels. Our platform brings together sportsbook, casino, betting exchange, and retail capabilities, giving operators the ability to build around their own commercial model rather than forcing them into a single approach. At the same time, localisation is becoming increasingly important. Operators need control over things likelanguages, currencies, payments, content, odds formats and player journeys, particularly as they expand into markets with very different expectations. Our focus is therefore on giving operators a platform that can scale globally without losing local relevance.

Which emerging technologies do you believe will redefine the operator–platform relationship?

AI and real-time data will be two of the biggest drivers, but I think the more important question is how they are applied. AI can help operators understand player behaviour, improve operational efficiency, and make faster decisions. Real-time data is equally important, particularly in areas such as live betting, where speed and accuracy directly affect the player experience and commercial performance. The bigger shift is that platforms will increasingly move from being infrastructure providers to becoming intelligent, responsive partners. The technology should help operators understand what is happening, act on it quickly, and adapt their offering as market conditions change.

“AI and real-time data will be two of the biggest drivers, but I think the more important question is how they are applied.”

Alex Leese, CEO at Pronet Gaming.

How does Pronet Gaming foster collaboration with partners outside formal exhibition spaces?

Truth be told, some of the most productive conversations happen away from the exhibition floor. Without a booth presence this year, we’re deliberately putting even more emphasis on direct meetings and informal conversations with operators, partners, and industry contacts. We see partnership as an ongoing process rather than something that starts and ends at an event. That collaborative approach is particularly important as we expand across Asia and other complex markets, where there is no single template for success.
