It’s time to find out this year’s Emmy nominees. With fewer TV shows being made compared to the peak TV years, that means fewer Emmy nominations. The amount of nominees per category is based on the amount of submissions, so gone are the days of there being seven potential Best Actress in a Comedy Series winners. On the other hand, that means the nominations are, in some ways, a bigger deal. Those who do get nominated are in smaller company, and it makes for tight, exciting races. Our eyes are on last year’s Best Drama winner, The Pitt,which is back in the race. Meanwhile, in the Limited Series race are predicted front-runners like Netflix’s Beef and Love Storyon FX. The Comedy Series category, sans last year’s winner The Studio, is likely led by Hacks.
All will be revealed when Widow’s Bay star Jeff Hiller and The Bear’sLiza Colón-Zayas, both Emmy winners themselves, announce this year’s nominees. Outstanding Variety Series and Outstanding Reality Competition Program categories were the first categories announced, on NBC Today. Then, at 11:30, the anyone interested can watch the rest of the nominations on the Emmys website. In the meantime, we’ll be updating this page live with the nominees as they are revealed.
