Even before its anticipated debut, Marvel’s Midnight Universe has hit a huge pre-launch sales milestone, exceeding all expectations.
It’s been revealed that the collective orders for Midnight Spider-Man #1 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson and ScieTronc, Midnight Fantastic Four #1 by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker, and Midnight X-Men #1 by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte have surpassed one million copies.
Marvel reveals fully uncloaked covers for Midnight Spider-Man, Midnight X-Men and Midnight Fantastic Four
To celebrate this pre-launch milestone, Marvel has unveiled three new fully uncloaked covers for Midnight Spider-Man, Midnight X-Men, and Midnight Fantastic Four comic books.
Plus, it’s now confirmed that the early Second Printings of all three issues will arrive on October 28, 2026. The latest covers for Midnight Spider-Man, Midnight X-Men, and Midnight Fantastic Four are designed by Steve Beach, Dike Ruan, and Kev Walker, respectively.
An official description for Marvel’s Midnight Universe reads, “Blending the power of Marvel Comics storytelling with the thrills of horror, Midnight is a bold, interconnected new Universe that completely reimagines the Marvel mythos through a horror lens. In the debut issues, readers will witness the cursed fate of mutantkind, the gruesome transformation of Peter Parker, and the lengths the Fantastic Four are willing to go in the name of scientific discovery. And this is only the beginning for the creator’s long-term vision for this new publishing line!”
Dan Buckley, Executive Director of the Midnight series, previously expressed his excitement and confidence in the new publishing line. He said, “The more we talked about Midnight, the more we realized it was far more than just the birth of another new universe.”
Midnight Spider-Man #1, Midnight X-Men #1, and Midnight Fantastic Four #1 will initially go on sale on October 7, 2026, followed by the Second Printings on October 28, 2026.
