COLISEUM OF COMICS GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH CHARITY FUNDRAISER
Will Auction (Artificial) Pumpkins Decorated by industry Artists

Florida and Texas comic store chain store chain Coliseum of Comics has organized a Halloween fundraiser in which artificial pumpkins decorated by industry artists will be auctioned to raise money for two comic-related charities. Artists involved in the fundraiser include Jeffrey Brown, Mark Buckingham, Kieron Dwyer, Megan Hutchison, Joseph Michael Linsner, Mike McKone, Adriana Melo, Graham Nolan, Tim Seeley, and Andy Smith.
The artificial pumpkins have been distributed and have started to be returned for the auction, which will launch in the chain’s eBay store on October 10. All proceeds will be donated to Hero Initiative, which provides financial, medical, and career support to comic creators when unexpected hardships arise and Book Industry Charitable Foundation, which aids bookstores and comic shops and their employees who have a demonstrated financial need arising from hardship or emergencies.
Coliseum of Comics owner Phil Boyle shared his expectations. “We wanted to do something fun to support these two great charities,” he said in a statement accomopanying the announcement. “With these artists’ original work in high demand, we expect fans to want these unique Halloween pieces.”
