Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at some of my pencil artwork for the Transformers Studio Series ’86 line.
Working on this movie line has been one of the highlights of my career. The Transformers: The Movie had a huge impact on me as a kid and was one of the things that inspired me to become an artist.
These are the original pencil drawings before the final colors and packaging. Colors were done by VOLTA.
I have 40+ images to share, so there’s a lot more coming. Stay tuned!
And The Transformers: The Movie is back in theaters in 4K. Go watch it on the big screen and celebrate Peter Cullen’s incredible legacy and his iconic performance as Optimus Prime in “Optimus Prime: Awakening.”
