Michael B. Jordan is experiencing one of the sweetest moments of his entire career. After starring in several hit movies and winning his first Oscar for ‘Sinners’, the actor is now fully immersed in another of his great passions. As he confirmed in an interview with Vogue, he is currently working on several anime projects, and it seems he couldn’t be happier about it.
In fact, Jordan said that “I might just quit it all and make anime the rest of my life.” This probably won’t happen, but with this statement, the actor has once again made it very clear that he is a huge fan of Japanese animation and that he would love to participate in the production of new works in this genre. Just a while back, he revealed that while filming ‘Creed III’ he drew inspiration from several anime series, including ‘Hajime no Ippo,’ ‘Dragon Ball Z,‘ ‘Fullmetal Alchemist,’ and even ‘Naruto.’ He also revealed that one of the last times he ended up crying was when he watched one of the great scenes from the final season of ‘My Hero Academia.’ After this, it’s clear that he has no qualms about expressing his love for the world of anime, and that’s fantastic.
Michael B. Jordan will not give up Live-action film
Despite Michael B. Jordan’s statements, it’s quite unlikely that he’ll end up completely abandoning live-action film to focus on animation. In fact, in addition to his mysterious anime projects, the actor is set to direct ‘Creed IV’ and will co-star in both the ‘Miami Vice’ reboot with Austin Butler and the sequel to ‘I Am Legend’ alongside Will Smith. Furthermore, it appears he will be the lead star in the adaptation of the video game ‘Battlefield’ being developed by Christopher McQuarrie, the director of ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.’
As for his first steps in the anime world, all we know is that he has several projects in pre-production. What might they be about?
