Some of the first gameplay has surfaced for the newly-announced Nintendo Switch 2 versions of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4.
For those that missed the news, Capcom announced during last week’s Nintendo Direct that ports of all three remakes are on the way to the platform. Now, however, we have a proper look with footage.
A 30-minute video has come in showing all three titles. Note that this is handheld footage – for now we don’t get to see what they look like in docked mode.
Here’s some information about the different games:
With the introduction of these three remakes, all mainline Resident Evil titles, including the recently released Resident Evil Requiem and the upcoming Resident Evil Veronica, will be able to be experienced on Nintendo Switch 2!
While these three remakes faithfully preserve the essence of the original games, each title has been reimagined with fresh ideas and modernized gameplayent Evil 4 Gold Edition also include a wealth of additional content from the original versions
For the uninitiated, here’s a quick rundown of each remake:
- Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition: An unprecedented biological disaster that strikes Raccoon City drags rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, a college student who has come to town to visit her brother, into a tragedy unlike any they’ve ever faced.
- Resident Evil 3: Raccoon City lies in ruins following the aforementioned unprecedented biological disaster. Told from the perspective of Jill Valentine, a survivor of the special forces unit S.T.A.R.S., this is the story of the beginning and end of the Raccoon City Incident.
- Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition: Six years after the Raccoon City Incident, Leon S. Kennedy – now an agent- embarks on a harrowing mission to locate and rescue the president’s daughter. Can he survive the madness of the villagers, who have been transformed into monstrous cultists?
