Two collectible shops were robbed in Washington County
West Bend Police are investigating after a suspect broke into a shop and stole $20,000 worth of merchandise.
Shelves of Sped’s Collectible shop were wiped empty early Monday morning.
“It’s tough, and it hurts a lot,” said Spencer Foyse.
Security video shows a masked man breaking in and filling his backpack with loads of merchandise.
The owner of Sped’s collectibles says the suspect got away with many rare Pokémon cards.
“The guy came in, kind of rummaged through all my cases, took almost all of my good stuff, my expensive stuff,” said Foyse.
It’s a major setback for the store that just opened in May.
“It’s pretty devastating to see because our margins and the way we do things in Pokémon, it takes a very long time for us to work our way up,” said Foyse.
The owner says he plans on beefing up security here inside the shop, but it will take months to recover.

“I think as shop owners we need to step up our security and be ready for things like this,” said Foyse.
It’s not the only collectible store robbed in Washington County.
Surveillance video from late August shows a masked man breaking into Card-Board Empires, a trading card store in Richfield.
That store’s owner says this person got away with $40,000 worth of merchandise.
In early August, surveillance video shows a group of masked men smashing through a collectibles shop in Twin Lakes, getting away with more than $300,000 in cards and games.
The West Bend Police Department says they are investigating Monday’s burglary and working to find out if all three break-ins are connected.
WPD says no suspects are in custody; they ask anyone with information to call police.
12 News also reached out to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to see if the burglaries in Richfield and West Bend are connected.
