New platform places CPU and GPU performance on the same scale, giving gamers a consistent way to compare hardware and check game requirements

GamingScore is our answer — a universal performance language for PC gaming hardware.”— Marvis Sanchez, Founder & CEO, GamingStation

SHERIDAN, WY, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Buying PC gaming hardware shouldn’t require a research degree — but for many gamers, it can feel that way. Choosing between hundreds of CPUs and GPUs means navigating overlapping product generations, technical specifications, and benchmark scores that don’t always translate into a simple answer: What hardware do I actually need?

Pick the wrong combination, and gamers can end up overpaying for performance they can’t fully use, creating an unbalanced PC, or buying hardware that falls short of the games they want to play. Existing tools provide enormous amounts of useful information, but buyers are still left to interpret different benchmarks, specifications, reviews, and recommendations to determine what they mean for an actual PC build. Complicating matters further, CPUs and GPUs are typically measured on separate performance scales, making direct comparisons between the two difficult.

GamingStation, a newly launched PC hardware platform, aims to address that gap with GamingScore, a ranking index that places CPUs and GPUs on a single, common performance scale. The company’s database currently covers 652 CPUs, 302 GPUs and more than 5,000 PC games.

“There is more PC hardware information available than ever, but more information doesn’t make choosing hardware any easier,” said Marvis Sanchez, Founder & CEO of GamingStation. “I wanted a simpler way to understand performance, and more importantly, a way to turn that understanding into an actual buying decision. GamingScore is our answer — a universal performance language for PC gaming hardware.”

The platform organizes its comparisons around several common buying questions. Users can look up how two processors or two graphics cards compare to one another, check whether a given CPU and GPU are reasonably balanced for gaming, and see whether a specific PC meets the stated requirements for a particular game. Each result is expressed using the same GamingScore value, so a component’s rating means the same thing whether it’s being compared to another part or checked against a game’s requirements.

The company plans to expand its hardware and game coverage as new components are released, and to extend GamingScore into additional parts of the hardware-buying process over time.

The platform is available at gamingstation.com.

GamingStation is a PC gaming hardware platform that helps users compare CPUs and GPUs, check compatibility, and evaluate hardware against game requirements. Its GamingScore index rates processors and graphics cards on a shared performance scale.
